VersaGrate offers a variety of mesh patterns for molded fiberglass grating.  The most common are   1-1/2" square, 2" square, and 1" x 4" rectangular.

Square mesh gratings have strength in both directions, as the load bars are evenly space in both the length and width of the panel.  Rectangular meshes have uni-directional strength.  The load bars are spaced across the width, or short dimension, of the panel.  Special care must be taken when working with rectangular mesh grating to ensure that the load bars are oriented in the correct direction.  The cross bars are not meant to carry load.

1-1/2" square mesh is by far the most popular, and is available in a variety of thicknesses.  Please refer to the diagrams on this page for more information about what thicknesses are available in each mesh pattern.
